On Friday November 22nd, 2019 at 1:30pm, The Royal Henley Retirement Community and The Education Foundation of Niagara will kick off their Annual “Warm a Heart Holiday Campaign”, taking place across the Niagara Region.
Led by a volunteer Board of Directors, in addition to a small staff, the Education Foundation of Niagara exists to support students and reduce the barriers to their success. This is achieved through a variety of programs, which provide the basic necessities, financial need, bursaries and awards.
The “Warm a Heart Campaign” is the result of increasing requests from school personnel for assistance with students who find themselves in need. Financial provision for such items, such as winter coats, boots, socks and hot lunches or snacks are in high demand every single day. By making a donation through this initiative, donors will aid in narrowing the gap and helping the Foundation to better achieve its vision of a community where every student has equal access to all of the enriching opportunities that school life offers.
Friday, November 22nd marks the official kick-off to the campaign, held at The Royal Henley Retirement Community in St. Catharines, ON. At 1:30pm at The Royal Henley, Chris Scott will be entertaining! Chris has released 3 albums, has appeared on numerous national radio and television appearances and has 4 songs on top 40 Canadian Country Radio. The Royal Henley will be accepting donations at the events for fundraising efforts.
Our residents are the memory of what has happened and the children are the promise of what’s to come. The Royal Henley see’s the Education Foundation as an amazing outlet to invest in the future of our community. The Royal Henley will be selling homemade Christmas ornaments. All of the proceeds will go back to the Education Foundation. The residents at The Royal Henley are also making a doll house, which will be auctioned off for the Education Foundation. Additionally, The Royal Henley will be hosting a Caribbean Day on Monday December 2nd at 2pm, along with a High Tea Social on Wednesday December 11th at 2pm. All of the proceeds from the events will go to the Education Foundation.
